Two top government officials that are in the know, Jonah Ogunniyi Otunla, the Accountant General of the Federation,and Dr. Bright Okogwu , the director General of Budget Office, recently admitted to the Senate that though the economy is cash-strapped Nigeria is not broke.
One then wonder what is responsible for the miagre gift offered to our World Conqueror, The Golden Eaglet of Nigeria by our president on Sunday. Personally, in addition to heftier amount of cash, I expected this great sons of Nigeria to be given a house each in the choicest area of Abuja or where ever the president may dim fit. This is not asking for too much.
Or is Nigeria truly broke ?
